Code vein
I've been playing Code vein for quite awhile and I've been loving it. The combat system is quite refreshing from the games I recently have played but it does remind me a lot of the Dark Souls series. Which is not a problem with me because I completely adore that serie. Code Vein does have some astonishing animations from special attacks or from the different Blood Veils. The bosses are amazing too and they do tend to have some pretty difficult patterns when you reach end game.
My character
I was going for a very gothic look and demonic feel. I tried to portray this throughout the coffin and all the leater and bandages.I usually wouldn't use this style of hairbut i completely adore it in this game. Doing this charcacter took me around over an hour to be completely honest. There are a few differnt weapons that I use which are Assassin's Sickle and Sunset Hammer together with the blood veil Nightclaw. I also use the blood code Prometheus.
Weapons
- Assassin's Sickle -
I love this weapon because it's very stylish and it has amazing animations. The light attacks of this weapon are very smooth and continuous, it really does go very well with the theme; water. The heavy attack (right-click) is a uppercut hit with the sickle creating a wave animation at the end. The other heavy attack (charging) makes your character surf on a little tidal wave and you can go through your oppononets doing quite some good damage. The playstyle of this weapon really fits with me and makes me really enjoy the content that Code Vein provides me, so much more.

Heavy attacks

- Sunset Hammer -
I adore this weapon because it has so much dmg and the attacks are quite unique in their own right. It really does give my character a feel of being heavy also more slow than usual. The range of the hammer is quite nice. I do find myself being caught in my own animations sometimes but that's probably because I'm new at the game itself and I'm still learning. Sunset Hammer's light attacks are very simple and iconic to the hammer; just basic smashing light attacks. The first heavy attack is a little jump smashing down my hammer which is quite interesting. The 2nd heavy attack (when you charge) is when she does a huge SMASH on the ground with the hammer which can do a lot of damage.

Both heavy attacks

Blood Veils
- Night Claw -
I completely love the Night claw because I'm practicing parrying right now and and the claw is very fast (Faster animation than others) and it is quite simple too. I also like this Blood veil because it really fits with my character's aesthetic, being a goth. Blood veils have a parry and a charged attack which drains ichor (ichor is somewhat like mana, it allows you to use your gifts) from your enemies and takes it as your own. Usually blood veils would be used for different build but since I am still quite new I just use whichever I like the most.

Parry

Drain attack

- GXH Assault -
I love this blood veil but I find it very difficult to use. It has amazing animations and a lot of damage, at least early game, but what really sold me on this is the animations because the blades really remind me of torture; again this fits in with my theme. I mostly use this blood veil for the aesthetics as I'm not quite sure what build I want to go yet. I find it very difficult to time the parry animation of GXH Assault because of the animation it begins with which makes it ever so slightly slower than the claw.
