The making of "God Hates Us!" & Tic-Tac-Toe
The making "Giod Hates Us!"  and "Tic-Tac-Toe". But let's start from the beggining,
We started off by working on tic-tac-toe. It was a very interesting process because we faced many little challanges and different ideas and methods on how to approach this dilemma. We also tested out a lot of different ideas and we even played the normal tic-tac-toe to see whats so enjoyable about this game, why is it played and why was it always considered a "break" game?
Firstly, people play this game because its fast and competitive as the players would usually always want to beat their opponent. A usual tic-tac-toe is 3 x 3 which is pretty standard yet very easy and fast. I personally have always seen people play tic-tac-toe when they wanted a fast game to just mess around with. We went through different sizes as well which was very interesting because they always needed to be the same and if you increase the size then you also need to apply new rules. Do you still need to connect only 3 even if its 10 x 10 or do you need to just connect lines accross? This is something we spent quite a long time on. Tic-Tac-Toe was always considered a break game due to it being so fast, simple and competitive. Those 3 factors are very important because it's what me and my team has played around.
We created Jimbob V.2. We increased the size because we want to change tic-tac-toe to our own. Also increasing the size would give us a lot more leeway into different rules. We also still kept it simple and competitive. Now you needed to connect 4 in order to win instead of 3. We also had a lot more space to work around which was also great. We realised that the game wasn't as fast but it was surely more competitve and strategic. Now you wouldn't be able to cheap out your opponent with a few tricks during the 3 x 3. Overall, It was all very successful and we got positive feedback from our classmates. There was no issues with this game and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
